King’s Town Bank Supports Disadvantaged Families

In response to the government's promotion of inclusive finance and deepening cooperation with social welfare organizations, King’s Town Bank (2809), a local enterprise in Tainan, donates micro group injury insurance to families in need through Southern Tainan Branch of Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), providing a maximum insured amount of $500,000 per insured. So that in the event of emergent perils, the insurance benefits can be used as emergency relief to help the disadvantaged families assisted by the TFCF Southern Tainan Branch through the roughest times.

King’s Town Bank attaches great importance to social co-prosperity. In recent years, we have been thinking about how to exert the strength of branches and core functions, and deepen cooperation with local social welfare groups. In this donation of micro-insurance, King’s Town Bank seeks the object with immediate need from social welfare organizations with long-term contacts and negotiates with various insurance companies for suitable micro-insurance products. After selection, product briefings are held at the branch, enabling resources to be delivered to those in need more efficiently.

Since 2015, King’s Town Bank has provided nearly 200 pings venue in downtown Tainan free of charge to support the TFCF Southern Tainan Branch in establishing the “Parent-Child Happy School.” It is hoped to avoid the occurrence of child neglect and abuse at the primary prevention, allowing disadvantaged children and their families to have a permanent place and someone to talk to and know how to seek support. King’s Town Bank also notices that in addition to being the spiritual pillar of these disadvantaged families, if we can provide an insurance coverage for them, we will be able to hold them securely in case of an accident.

King’s Town Bank stated that the donation activity was a joint effort through Sinsing Branch, Fucheng Branch, and China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. working together from the local community. In the future, we will continue to uphold the spirit of financial inclusion and the principle of fair hospitality to assist more disadvantaged groups in society.
